We’ve covered previous iterations of Gordon & MacPhail’s “Generations” series, such as the $15,000 Mortlach 70. More recently, Gordon & MacPhail honored Glenlivet with its own 70-Year expression. But seeing as costs for those incredibly rare single malt scotches make them too exclusive for anyone in the real world to taste, Gordon & MacPhail have decided to release a Glenlivet Decades 5-bottle private collection for $4,600 (£2,850). Sure that’s quite a bundle, but considerably less than the price for a bottle of the 70-Year. Five bottles representing five decades of Glenlivet history comprise the Decades collection: 1954, 1963, 1974, 1980 and 1991. Or you can pick up each bottle individually, with prices ranging from $150 (£95) to $2,000 (£1,250).
