The inimitable Bang Gang DJs return with an EP of Bumblebeez tracks recorded at their infamous house of debauchery, known affectionately as the Duxford in Paddington, Sydney. I was lucky enough to stay there a couple nights (Gus da Hoodrat was a very generous host) and I can honestly say I’m lucky to have made it out alive. The Bang Gang is no joke. Not only do we love their dancefloor artillery, but the guys were kind enough to contribute our inaugural edition of Coordinates, Coordinates: Sydney. So anywho, the very talented Bumblebeez went to their studio and recorded this IM A COWBOI EP, and it is an awesome exercise in their clubified hip hop beats and breaks. Top notch. As they write: “Some cowboys rented a studio outback, got a case of moonshine, some pistols, 4 horses, betty jane and got loose.” Sure, why not — give it a listen, and if you like buy the album and/or download their Charlies Shake Down Cowboi Tease Mix at will…
