10 May
One of Boston's greatest return after a quarter century

It’s been 24 long years for fans of The Cars, one of America’s most important New Wave bands of the 80s. Today, May 10th, The Cars release their brand new album, Move Like This, on Hear Music/Concord Music Group. Produced by Garret “Jacknife” Lee (Bloc Party, U2, REM, The Hives, Weezer) and The Cars, the album reunites all remaining members of the beloved Boston group — Ric Ocasek, Greg Hawkes, Elliot Easton and David Robinson — doing tracks that live up to their illustrious history. They’ll be hitting the road this summer, and play LA this Thursday (Palladium). Expect plenty of new tracks along with classics like “Magic”, “Just What I Needed”, “My Best Friend’s Girl”, “Good Times Roll”, “Let’s Go”, “It’s All I Can Do”, “Dangerous Type”, “Shake It Up”, “Since You’re Gone”, “You Might Think”, “Hello Again”, “Why Can’t I Have You”… the list goes on and on. My biggest question is whether or not they’ll play “Drive”, their best selling single sung by the late, great Benjamin Orr (RIP). If you’re a true music fan and grew up in the 80s, you cannot miss this tour — it kicks off today in Seattle and includes stops at Lollapalooza (Chicago), Roseland Ballroom (NYC) and House of Blues (Boston). Stream the full album below for one week, and buy it HERE for $10.
