After taking the 5.2 liter v10 version of their R8 and juicing it to produce the R8 GT and R8 GT Spyder, it looks like Audi is running out of ways of tweaking its supercar to create more limited edition vehicles. Now it has gone back to the original V8 version of the R8 for “exclusive run” cars that get the interwebs buzzing. The latest is this limited edition version crafted to celebrate Audi’s 10 victories at the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans race. The supercar has the same 4.2-liter V8 as the original R8, generating a healthy (but not superlative) 430 horsepower, but differentiates itself with a gleaming exclusive titanium-effect paint with matching 19-inch double Y-spoke titanium-toned rims (the same found on the aforementioned GT Coupe). In addition, the Limited Edition R8 will come with satellite navigation, Bluetooth, a unique interior lighting package and Audi Music Interface with Bang & Olufsen surroundsound stereo. Only 100 examples of this R8 will be built, and right now solely for the UK market at a price of £93,935 — around $150,000 with taxes. Of course if any make it stateside the cost may be significantly different.
