We’ve come across some very interesting items made from recycled products. Remember the wood ties? The same concept in recycling old products into something new and wearable has been applied to the production of the Sonic Fabric’s ties from artist Alyce Santoro in collaboration with New York City designer Julio Cesar. The sustainable ties — available in skinny, medium, and standard — are made from 50% recycled cassette tape and 50% colored thread in black, brown and grey hues. Bonus: If you run a tape head over them, they’ll actually emit sound. Get yourself one or all three colors offered for $120 each.
