The hard working Italian brothers-in-electro duo Crookers dropped their new album this Tuesday, and they’re streaming it for all to hear before purchase. Released on Southern Fried Records, the 13-track Dr. Gonzo follows the Milano-based party rockers as they take their base electro sound and augment it with leftfield touches like demented laughing samples and Moroccan themes. We’ve been appreciators of Crookers since stumbling across a set of theirs at the amazing Yellow Submarine club in Milan, where they were slaying a roomful of sweaty Italians alongside Congorock and Pulling Teeth, and it seems they haven’t done much to stray from their signature sound. We also gotta score them points for naming their album after Hunter S. Thompson — you won us over with that one. Stream the album samples below, and if you like what you hear pick up Dr. Gonzo via iTunes or Beatport.
