2011 may have been a quiet year for Maya Arulpragasam, but the world pop star M.I.A. is looking to rebound in 2012 and make up for her 3rd album, /\/\ /\ Y /\, which was critically panned by many but beloved here at LIAS headquarters. Her first move is to release a single lifted from the Vicki Leekx mixtape she released last year, “Bad Girls”, which was produced by Timbaland protege Danja. Although we’ll have to wait till summer for the as-yet-unnamed full length album, a video for “Bad Girls” should also be dropping this Friday by “Born Free” director Romain Gavras.
