One of the world's thinnest mechanical self-winding movements

Founded by Jules-Louis Audemars and Edward-Auguste Piguet, Swiss watchmaker Audemars Piguet is currently celebrating the 40th anniversary of the release of their Royal Oak model. The updated commemorative luxury watch is the Royal Oak Openworked Extra-Thin Tourbillon, and will be limited to only a 40-piece release. Comprised of premium platinum, the Openworked Extra-Thin Tourbillon wristwatch boasts a variety of new innovations which showcase the progression of Audemars and its vision. The platinum case is water-resistant to 50 meters and fitted with a glare-proofed sapphire crystal and caseback. It also features a 70-hour power reserve and a frequency of 21,600 vibrations/hour (3 Hz). Two hundred and sixteen parts encompass the 41 mm diameter case, the first of its size within the Royal Oak collection. The entirely hand-crafted openworking of this ultra-thin movement calls for exceptional expertise and proven experience. As said, only a total of 40 will be produced — each engraved and numbered.
