Last time we saw The Vintage Frames Company they were teaming up with Ultra for their Ultra Goliath 2 Snow White Sunglasses — which, for reasons we can’t quite comprehend, ended up being one of our more popular posts of the past couple months. Why, exactly, is hard to figure out. Now they’ve returned with another collaboration, this time with DOPE who just opened up their new Los Angeles store on Fairfax. As with the Ultra collab, again Vintage Frames Company manages to scramble the ocular sensors with a well thought-out marketing strategy involving… well, another beautiful naked model wearing a fur coat and very little else. It’s pretty clear how they roll. The new ULTRA DOPE frames were inspired by the way early Chris Rock movie CB4, where Rock played a suburban emcee pretending to be a gangsta rapper from a hood called Locash (see the classic video here). As is Vintage Frames Company’s MO, the frames were assembled from un-used dead stock of vintage frames from the 1990s when CB4 was filmed. Only 50 pieces of the super exclusive glasses will be made, retailing for $550 each — available only at DOPE and at Vintage Frames Shop.

A very NSFW gallery of the ULTRA DOPE sunglasses, plus a close-up of the actual frames — if you actually care, that is — after the Jump…
