The pride of Detroit, the late great J Dilla, aka Dilla, Jay Donuts, Jay Dee, et al, is coming out with another posthumous album, this one packed with 25 unreleased tracks and unheard beats from the ex-Slum Village producer’s vault. Titled Rebirth Of Detroit, the LP is technically J Dilla’s fifth studio album and will feature new verses from artists such as Danny Brown, Phat Kat, Guilty Simpson, Chuck Inglish and Boldy James. Expect Rebirth Of Detroit to drop June 12, with physical albums sold via the Official J Dilla website. If you can’t wait that long to get your Dilla fix, don’t forget to peep DJ Mehdi’s Loukoums J Dilla Homage Mix and/or the The Dirty Slums mixtape for some classic beats. Looking forward to hearing these unreleased tracks from the Detroit hip hop legend…
