Fourth studio album out August 21 from Wichita Recordings

Bloc Party has been working hard ever since they elusively decamped to New York in the winter of 2011 to create their fourth studio album Four — a welcome surprise for fans who mourned the band’s earlier announced “break-up”. While repetitive synthesizer anthems blow in a through breeze  and Okereke’s vocals escalate from mild annoyance to a siren’s call, the bass line’s rebellious disco gives grace to the fitful rhythms. According to Kele Okereke, “it is the best thing that we have ever done.” The album comes out August 21 from Wichita Recordings on Atlantic and is available on CD, 180-gram vinyl and picture disc.
