German artist Michael Rohde re-programs concept of gravity

German artist Michael H Rohde makes our eyes struggle with orientation in his work series of photographs which feature utopian views of interior space that challenge our perception. From Below shows rooms from below the floor as if the floor was simply made of glass; but it is only our mere consciousness that allows us to keep this space in balance. It’s not too long after gazing before our orientation system looses structure and the objects in the room start floating around in some sort of bottomless void. Distortion, constant disorientation, and disengagement are what gives these images a captivating atmosphere and validates their artistic condition…
