Sure Lamborghini rocked the automotive world last year with its groundbreaking Aventador hypercar, but that doesn’t mean its forgotten its bread and butter. Lamborghini knows damn well its road is paved with the Gallardo, the best selling car in the vaunted Italian badge’s history (13,000 rolling out of its Sant’Agata Bolognese factory thus far and counting). In order to keep the Gallardo fresh, Lambo is updating its cash cow with a new more aggressive and extreme design — as best seen in its LP 570-4 “Edizione Tecnica” range (aka the high performance Superleggera and Spyder Performante). This week at the 2012 Paris Motorshow the Raging Bull is unveiling the supercars with a redesigned front and rear fascias, best noted by the larger air intakes and sharper triangular and trapezoidal motifs. The Edizione Tecnica range visually underscores its exclusivity with three new optional color combinations, where the roof arch and front air intakes are painted in a contrast color. The available shades are Nero Nemesis (matte black) body with Arancio Argos (orange) pillars and front air intakes, Bianco Canopus (matt white) body with Arancio Argos pillars and front air intakes, and Arancio Argos body with Nero Nemesis pillars and front air intakes. A fixed high rear wing and carbon-ceramic brakes are also included. Unlike many unveilings that take place at the Paris Motor Show, you won’t have to wait years to get your hands on Automobili Lamborghini’s reinvisioned Gallardo Edizione Tecnicas — they’ll hit showrooms as early as this November.
