In this rich collaboration between two of Britain’s best-loved brands, one of Doc Marten‘s classic silhouettes — the Beckett 8 eye bovver boot with round tail — gets redone in luxury wool fabric from Scotland’s Harris Tweed. Handmade in the Dr. Martens Northhamptonshire factory, these boots are the product of both brand’s iconic dedication to functionality and style. Although the upper is composed of Harris’ top-of-the-line rugged woolen tween woven in the misty Outer Hebrides islands, the boots are internally reinforced with thick leather to achieve DMs famous hardwearing longevity. Displayed here in blue, the Dr. Martens M.I.E. Harris Tweed Beckett 8-eye Boot comes with a protective dust bag and retails for approximately $430 USD (£265 GBP) and is now available online for the fall/winter 2012 season.
