Taschen collects the Peruvian photographer's life work

Peruvian-born fashion photographer Mario Testino has opened his first solo exhibit, In Your Face, at The Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. The Vogue and Vanity Fair contributor rose to global prominence when handpicked by Princess Diana as her official photographer, and since has captured many of the most inaccessible figures in the world — from royalty to mega-celebrities to fashion icons, perhaps best underscored by establishing the career of supermodel Gisele Bundchen. In commemoration of  his MFA Boston exhibit, Taschen has published a softcover book to showcase a collection of works, selected by Testino himself, to represent his three successful decades in the industry. Its 224 pages illustrate the superiority and diversity of the photographer’s interplay of mass media, celebrity and glamor, highlighting his aesthetic contributions to the worlds of fashion and photography. The In Your Face Exhibit opened on October 17th at the Museum of Fine Arts Boston and will run through February 3rd, and is now available online. Check out the gallery below for a sneak peak of Testino’s work.
