Shot and directed by photographer and film-maker Jamie-James Medina (who also happens to be the founder of XL’s sub-label Hot Charity), this 3-part documentary follows The xx on the three major cycles of their creative process. Time in the recording studio, in rehearsals and then finally performing live is documented, ending in the last episode with The xx playing three tracks from their latest album Coexist, “Friction,” “Angels” and “Tides”. A nice peek into the lives of the London trio, and how their creative process unfolds. Fans of Jamie xx, Romy Madley Croft and Oliver Sim will certainly enjoy the insight…
