OK, we admit it — we were intrigued when the first teasers leaked for Harmony Korine’s Spring Breakers film. I’m a bit dubious because Korine hasn’t done anything watchable since Kids, but who knows this could be promising. When you have a bunch of teenage girls (Selena Gomez, Vanessa Hudgens, Rachel Korine, Ashley Benson) robbing convenience stores and acting out every parent’s worst nightmares you have potential. When you throw in James Franco doing his best RiFF RaFF impression as a white trash pimp/petty criminal, you certainly laid the groundwork for mischief. If the plot entices, check out the new NSFW Red-Band trailer that released today, and look out for Spring Breakers when it hits theaters on March 15th, 2013.
