Coming to theaters in 3D on July 26, 2013
While the first Wolverine movie disappointed, anyone who read the Marvel comic as a kid knows the Mariko storyline from the seminal Chris Claremont and Frank Miller limited series Wolverine was one of the best from the 1980s. Even Hugh Jackman admitted the first film went south, so as the lead actor and co-producer of the film he knew he had to straighten shit out. Allegedly, this sequel will be much closer to the original story. We shall see. We get our fist glimpse this morning via the first international trailer for The Wolverine, which opens in 3D on July 26, 2013. It is a massive bummer that Darren Aronofsky got off from directing the project, but let’s hope Walk the Line’s James Mangold can pull it off…
