If you’re fiending for some 90s-era hip-hop, yo mightl be shocked to find it in the mind of 16-year-old Bishop Nehru. Whether it’s his Mobb Deep referencing “Mobb Dizzle” track, or just the paired down boom-bap of his productions, Bishop happily brings back a time in hip-hop that was ruled by the likes of Wu Tang Clan, Biggie Smalls, Big L etc. Now Hehru is dropping his second mixtape, strictlyFLOWZ — 10 tracks’ worth of original material from the New York rapper/producer. Although the flows are nice, its the production of strictlyFLOWZ that really makes us nostalgic — including production by the likes of Afro Jazz, Ghost McGrady, Herring Franky, Insanity, Massology, Raz Fresco and Yazu. Keep en eye out for Bishop Nehru’s upcoming summer tour with Wu-Tang Clan clelebrating the band’s 20th Anniversary Tour. It kicks off July 25 in the UK.
