Since it’s Zach Snyder behind this it’s sure to look mighty pretty, just like the first 300. Problem with Snyder is when he uses source materials — as in 300 and Watchmen — the guy is pretty much unstoppable. But when he writes the screenplay himself — as in Sucker Punch (which we reviewed HERE) and the new Superman movie Man Of Steel — the results are less desirable. The 300 sequel, 300: Rise of an Empire, doesn’t really exist — it was never written by Frank Miller like the original, which should definitely make you a little dubious. But who knows, maybe he’ll pull it off. And even if he doesn’t, you can tell from the trailer it’s gonna look as good as a full frontal from its star Cersei Lena Headey. 300: Rise of an Empire also features Rodrigo Santoro, Sullivan Stapleton, Eva Green, Callan Mulvey, Hans Matheson and Jack O’Connell, and will hit theaters on March 7, 2014 — just in time for next blockbuster season…
