As we reported three years ago, Japanese luxury streetwear label mastermind JAPAN will shut its doors this year. Given the label’s success it’s clear they’re going to push their output till the clock strikes twelve on New Year’s Eve. Their latest collaboration is with fellow clothiers from the Land of the Rising Sun, Uniform Experiment. Teaming up with UE’s Hiroshi Fujiwara, mastermind JAPAN modified this classic ALPHA Industries’ “Alpha Tight Fit” MA-1 jacket with various touches — including their signature skull and crossbones motif. The classic bomber jacket is fashioned from navy blue nylon twill with leather sleeve inserts, and can be found at Sophnet for about $950 (¥94,500).
