Dallas-based workshop creates a 4-wheeled monster

Sometimes you want to conquer dunes, and sometimes you want to crush them underfoot — like a cruel 12-year-old who just found a defenseless ant hill. It is those times you want to hit up Starwood Motors for their incredibly prodigious Full Metal Jacket edition Jeep Wrangler. Promising over 100 hours of build time for each vehicle, Starwood take a street Wrangler Unlimited and transforms it into the beast you see before you, outfitted with “bulletproof” suspension that includes a 4” performance lift, new coils, specially valved mono tube shocks, adjustable track arms and a steering stabilizer. Non-suspension mods include LED lighting racks, side armor bars and steps, 35″ Nitto Trail Grappler Tires and a 10,000-lb. winch with handheld remote and 94-foot kevlar nylon rope. A Kevlar paint job also comes standard, all for the princely sum of $109,888. That’s about the same price as a West Coast Defender, which are obviously pretty bad ass as well but don’t offer nearly the same level of dirt smiting ability.
