Dating back the the early days as a staff photographer for the newly emerging Rolling Stone magazine, Annie Liebovitz began a career that would go on to establish her as one of the biggest names in photographic history, giving her recognition of living-legend status. With a 40-year track record, a bold style and an extensive portfolio involving the hugest possible celebrities, artists and personalities while working for magazines such as Vanity Fair or Vogue, it’s no wonder that her work would find its way into a true behemoth of a Taschen coffee-table book. Titled simply Annie Leibovitz, Taschen is now re-releasing a special Art Edition of only 1,000 copies of the book. The leather-bound tome, in archival pigment print, measures an oversized 20″ x 20″ and comes with a Mark Newson-designed tripod bookstand. The book also comes with four dust jackets, each featuring Leibovitz celebrity interpretations of Whoopi Goldberg, Keith Haring, David Byrne or Patti Smith. Preorder your multilingual copy of Annie Liebovitz, Art Edition for $5,000, due out some time this month. Preview teaser video below now.
