Rob Whitworth‘s time-lapse photographic work is like a compressed tour, seen through the eyes of a dimension traveling sorcerer. Or as NPR put it: “What Cezanne did for apples, Rob Whitworth does for city traffic.” With an artful eye and all-reaching camera, hours and hours of vivid city scape are compressed into just minutes. Whitworth’s work has previously toured his current home of Shanghai as well as other Asian locations, with Barcelona GO! being is first trek into Europe. His other work has included some pretty stunning photography and, yes, of course, his famous flow-motion videos that are just as impressive for the how-the-hell-did-he-do-this factor as they are for just the onslaught of cool urban images that tell the tale of whatever particular city he chooses to interpret.
