Slow Factory is a New York-based company founded on sustainability, handcrafted artful products and, most importantly, the bright lights of and around the Earth. Slow Factory takes scarves and garments to the outer limits via the direct inspiration provided by NASA’s satellite and telescope open data images. Collections include the “Floating In Space” collection, where fine silk-blend scarves hold images of NASA’s depiction of the universe, “Mother Ship Earth” inspired by the Earth’s wonders by way of top-down satellite photographs, and the newest collection being “Cities by Night” which captures the night lights of the Earth’s larger cities from a god’s eye perspective. Each city scarf is a silk and modal blend which depicts either Paris, London, New York or the USA for $295.
