I’ll admit I like the Palladium look, especially their Pampa Baggy boots like those above. The brand re-launched last July after going out of business in the early 90s, mostly because in this throwback, military-inspired era their rep is bulletproof: the French brand used to make tires for planes during WWII, then when that whole war thing died out they slipped smartly into footwear. Their boots were so rugged and comfortable (and cheap), the French Foreign Legion made them their supplier — they were tough and durable, but the light canvas made them breathable in the scorching desert heat of North Africa. To build on their authentic rep, Palladium has been filming a series of  Exploration videos and they just posted their fifth, Listen In: Berlin, where they explore places you won’t find in a tourist’s guide. Visti underground bunkers and mysterious hilltop listening stations like Teufelsberg, built to intercept radio communications. Berlin’s abandoned relics from the days of espionage are everywhere, hidden in plain sight. Peep the video below…
