A sneak peak of the new vinyl figure by the inimitable Sam Flores, aptly titled “Dragon Boy”, was just announced. The 10″ limited edition figure will drop at Upper Playground sometime in September, so keep your peepers open. It features:

• extremely detailed gradient blends
• 3 separate parts creating the illusion that the  Dragon Boy is floating through clouds
• streaming whiskers
• double sided window box  with scenic card insert

The detail on the piece is beautiful, and the style is pure Flores — would love to have this protecting the Robotech figures on my desk. Wait a second, maybe Rick Hunter would be protecting Dragon Boy…? Who knows — the possibilities are endless! Throw in Soundwave and the boundless options make my nerd brain frizzle!
