Catching up with one of the world's top street artists

We never really miss up a chance to spread the Gospel of BLU — arguably our favorite street artist working today. The Italian artist has taken a break from the winter doldrums to update his site, and let his fans know a bit about what he’s been up to recently. His Walls and Drawings sections show a bunch of his new work, well worth perusing. Moreover, he created three time lapse videos showing the making of three of his massive pieces — Lazzaretto, Cologne and Valencia. As BLU himself explains:

“after one month of radio silence it is time for the long awaited YEARLY UPDATE. for me that means spending the freezing month of february doing boring photo stitching, video editing and random sketching while waiting for the spring for you it means, being able to see the last projects well ordinated in few simple pages. on a scale from one to ten, how  boring is that? 10³. luckily, soon the painting season will open again.”

Two more time-lapse videos of of BLU making his pieces after the Jump…
