Aston Martin has unveiled the halo edition of its halo supercar, the DBS. The aptly named Aston Martin DBS Ultimate is the last in line for British automaker’s astonishing DBS line, the V12 monster GT that marries performance and luxury quite unlike any of its competition. And although the DBS Ultimate keeps the same 510 horsepower V12 as its more “pedestrian” predecessor, the Ultimate gets an aesthetic makeover with carbon fibre wing mirrors, a dark front grille, smoked rear lamps and black tail pipes, unique DBS badging and colored brake calipers (yellow, red or black). The finest luxury appointment, however, has to be its rich premium leather seats and leather and alcantara-lined interior, which comes diamond quilt stitched throughout with either red or silver contrast threading. Even its paddles are leather-trimmed in a striking bright red finish — a creative touch yet unseen in the performance car market. The DBS Ultimate will be available as either a Coupe or Volante in manual or automatic transmission, in three exterior color options: Carbon Black II, Quantum Silver or Silver Fox. Price still TBA.
