Mirco Pagano, Moreno De Turco & TWBA's "Piracy" campaign

Let’s face it. Old vinyl records are pretty cool, but old CDs? Yeah, not so much. That is until artists Mirco Pagano and Moreno De Turco created these lively mosaic sculptures using a colorful array of these obsolete relics of media, often using the actual albums of the artists depicted. Working with a multinational ad agency TWBA, the artists created these CD portraits of rock icons as part of a campaign called Piracy, which calls attention to the Internet piracy that is bring the music industry down to a crumble. The campaign features musical greats that include Freddie Mercury, Michael Jackson, Jim Morrison, Jimi Hendrix, Bob Marley and Elvis.
