Daft Punk was supposed to play on the Colbert Report yesterday, but due to a conflict with MTV (spoiler alert: they’re “surprise guests” at the upcoming MTV Video Music Awards) they were contractually cockblocked from playing his show. Of course that won’t stop the juggernaut that is Stephen Colbert, so he took to the streets to do his own performance of Daft Punk, specifically their song of the summer “Get Lucky”. As can be expected, Colbert took it to the next level… and the level beyond that too, dancing with a most motley assemblage of conspirators. I won’t ruin it for you, just watch the video clip below, but there’s a nice guest appearance by someone who’s been missing from the Comedy Central stage for quite awhile this summer.
