Imperial Walkers shredding Denver's Blackbook Gallery
The highlight of Blackbook Gallery‘s Deathstar Blues show that ran in Denver last month are these AT-ATs constructed completely of reclaimed skateboards by artist Derek Keenan. The show’s concept was led by artist Axel Greittman‘s vision of a Death Metal-inspired Star Wars universe, although the exhibit additionally served as a first-look appearance for Vans and Santa Cruz Skateboards collaborations with the evermore ubiquitous Star Wars brand. Other artists in the Deathstar Blues show included Cali graf-artist Sket One, UK-Star-Wars geek RYCA, design nerd team Hari & Deepti and Denver local “The Gropes”. Show ran until June 29th.
