The 2015 Mercedes-Benz S600 “Guard” Edition is an armored luxury sedan concentrating on safety and comfort, boasting armored steel in the body cavities and polycarbonate coating with special laminate on all glass windows. Clearly, the S-Guard is built for those who might have a reason to worry about their protection — or who live in dangerous locales. A panic alarm system comes standard, as well as its twin-turbocharged 6.0-liter v12 engine. A new feature of the S-Guard’s v12 is the combination of lower fuel consumption with rapid acceleration potential, going from 0 to 60 in about seven seconds and topping off at 130 mph. Other features include its notable first-class comfort, AIRMATIC suspension and intelligent driver assistance system. Additional ways to lap up the luxury include extras such as a LED intelligent light system, 360° camera, opaque roller blinds, heated window, alarm and fire-extinguisher system, fresh-air system, rear-seat reading lights and more. No word yet on price, but chances are the Mercedes-Benz S600 “Guard” saloon won’t come cheap.
