Star Blazers finally gets the feature film treatment

yamatoposter

For many Americans, their introduction to Japanese anime came via the epic Star Blazers series in the 80s, known as Space Battleship Yamato in Japan and the rest of the world. Premiering a couple years before Robotech, Star Blazers was eons ahead of its American counterparts (have they ever caught up?), telling an opera in space with true drama and tragedy. People died, they lost battles, and every episode did not wrap up nicely with a stale moral lesson and One to Grow On, or some knowing is half the battle bullshit. It was more real than any US cartoon, and kids around America fell in love. Well, now they’re finally giving the series its live action feature film treatment, directed by Takashi Yamazaki and aiming for a December 2010 release. I don’t know how good this will be, I can only tell you that I for one cannot wait to see Captain Avatar, Derek Wildstar and Nova in action, and nevermind the Wave Motion Gun. We get a glimpse of it powering up in the clip below, but no real tease. Book me a ticket Dan-o, I’m seeing this in the theater even if I have to fly to Tokyo to do so…

  4. See, it is the springs that allow us to be able to lift the heavy garage door
using just a slight bit of force. This article will take you through
the steps to safely remove the hinge and roller assembly and replace the roller.
These materials are all very sturdy and perfect as garage gate.

obviously like your web-site however you need to take a look at the spelling on several of your posts.
Many of them are rife with spelling issues
and I find it very bothersome to inform the truth then again I’ll definitely
    come again again.

First off I would like to say fantastic blog! I had a quick question in which I’d like to ask if you don’t
mind. I was interested to find out how you center yourself and clear your mind
before writing. I have had difficulty clearing my thoughts in getting my ideas out there.
I truly do enjoy writing but it just seems like the
first 10 to 15 minutes are lost simply just trying to figure out how to begin. Any
    recommendations or hints? Thank you!
