Next time you’re about 80 kilometers west of Bangkok, Thailand, in the city of Ratchaburi, and you’ve got a hankering for some food check out Kittiwat Unarrom’s “Body Bakery”. So named because all the tasty morsels are made to look like hacked up body parts. You can get decapitated heads, lopped off limbs and torsos — mmm-mmmm! I must say though that hanging the bread from meat hooks is a nice authentic touch, see pix after the Jump.
Here’s a video I found online:
Oddly enough, Kittiwat Unarrom’s bakery has turned into a bit of a tourist destination for the city. Not sure what pings the crazy meter more, wanting to consume food that looks like hacked up body parts or having your business model aimed around attracting the people that would find said food intriguingly yummy…?
And here I thought Thailand was all about sexual tourism. But what do I know? I am pretty certain, though, that bringing the two worlds together isn’t the smartest thing to do. I mean really, what do Thai serial killers look like anyway? In the Western part of the world we know creepy men when we see them…at least we like to think we do. Take this guy or this guy for instance. Or even this guy. You could smell those guys creeping from the next zip code. If anyone resembling those dudes shows up to your store with a hankering for some food that could be confused for body parts, you might want to reconsider letting them in.
Someone needs to make up their mind already, are you the brothel of the world or a serial killer incubator?
