Ever since driving the new Monster 696 last month, I’ve completely fallen in love with Ducati. Now they’ve just launched a limited edition Ducati Hypermotard with luxury retailer Neiman Marcus, which is an odd pairing cos the Hypermotard is Ducati’s best “performance” bike — meaning, as it’s a supermotard, you get all the control benefits of upright seating with performance stats (including speeds over 125 mph). It’s utility and function without the standard Ducati elegance. Not very Neiman Marcusy, but whatever. It will be featured in their Fall Men’s Book and can be ordered through the Neiman Marcus website here for $17,995.

Unique to the NM edition, the Hypermotard features a Termignoni full exhaust system with performance ECU, Ducati Performance race seat, a specially designed “Tricolore“ color and graphics package, and an array of carbon fiber accessories. Production is limited, and each unit carries an individually numbered plaque proving its exclusivity — . All are built to order.
