This is what art looks like when it becomes a weapon

I’m completely blown away by Japanese director/artist Makoto Yabuki. Guy has some serious imagination. Magical really. “Project Syn” is both submissive and powerful. Hanging from a cocoon, the mask strapped over her face, bound against the wall—yet she looks like she’s accommodating. And those eyes are anything but docile. It reminds me of some weird daydream come to life. Maybe that’s just me, though. The video below, “White Box”, is about as graceful of an animation as you can get. It’s almost like you’re inside his head. This is what art looks like when it becomes a weapon. Perusing Makoto Yabuki’s  site is well worth your time… I’m completely inspired.
