Distilled in 1938, it's older than WWII
Wow how I’d like to get my hands on this Mortlach 70 Year Edition, now officially the world’s oldest whisky. Distilled in 1938, this Speyside whisky (the Madman’s favorite Scotch region) comes stunningly presented in a wooden bespoke box, with its delicious liquid contained there within glowing the color of sun-bleached polished mahogany. No matter how much you like Scotch, however, $15,000 for a bottle sure hurts. If you can’t afford the normal 70 cl version then pick up the 20 cl taster for only $3,800. What a bargain. Of course, that’s still quite a bit cheaper than that Macallan Viscount Linley case for $90K, so maybe it’s just how you look at it…
