When Jeremy Scott drops a new sneaker, you know it’s going to be a headturner — for better or for worse. He’s already got people wearing Hermes-like Wings, Mickey Mouse and more “Tassles” than a Vegas showgirls revue on their feet, so you should expect nothing less flamboyant. I wouldn’t be caught dead wearing these, but I’m sure there’s plenty of people who could pull them off with the right amount of swagger. The latest in his adidas Originals by Originals Fall/Winter 2010 Collection, the new Penguin sneaker is clearly inspired by tuxedos, replicating the stiff collared shirt, bow tie, black buttons and two-tone colorway of the evening suit, and are fabricated with patent leather, mesh and leather.
