Tine De Ruysser's Banknote Jewelry Collection

Instead of taking money and buying jewelry with it to bling up one’s life, artist Tine De Ruysser has cut out the middleman and just turned the cash itself into the jewelry. Her Banknote Jewelry Collection features everything from thick bracelets and pins to necklaces and brooches, all made from folded legal tender from across the world — Australia, China, Argentina, South Africa, Bhutan and of course America all donate their bank notes. Some of the origami techniques are fairly complex, resulting in several notable pieces. And since only undamaged bills are use (never any cutting or glue), which are naturally very tough and resistant to tearing, all the Banknote Jewelry pieces are more durable than your average origami.
