Typeface tshirt collection by Kawamura and Yonenaga

A beautiful fusion of fashion and typography, this 2010 collection of  shirts are designed after five famous typecases: helvetica, caslon, baskerville, courier and cooper black. Japanese designers Masahi Kawamura and Itaru Yonenaga aimed to combine the form of the font with the form of the human body. “I aimed to capture the character of each typeface, and tried to give them a unique look and presence once worn,” explains Kawamura. Fashion enfused with typography? What’s there not to like about that? The shirts go on sale in January of 2010 — check out the other designs in the gallery below.
