We really enjoyed The Magician’s Magic Tape Five mixtape, so it’s only natural that we’d share his latest mix — BEANS. This mixtape was commissioned by UK uber-boutique oki-ni as their eighth weekly mix of 2011. The Magician (ex Aeroplane member Stephen Fasano) trawls through his ample record collection for BEANS, mixing 80s Italo-disco from Loui$ and Celophane with more contemporary tracks, plus his own remix for The Aikiu (his first credited production as The Magican). Being as it’s oki-ni, you know fashion’s going to play a part in the package — so they commissioned sleeve art by Norwegian illustrator Janhakon Robson and are making the artwork available on a limited edition unisex screen printed t-shirt which you can buy HERE.
