The H4D-200MS is here to make every other camera obsolete

Revered Copenhagen camera makers Hasselblad have just dropped the newest bomb in their photographic artillery — the H4D-200MS. While the H4D-200MS boasts a whopping 200 megapixel capability, the camera actually uses a 50 megapixel sensor and shoots 6 images simultaneously, which it then stitches together in-camera (a piezoelectric motor slightly moves the sensor while the camera takes the six images, and it takes about 30 seconds to stitch together the image). The result of this multi-shot technology is a science fiction-like 200 megapixel image that weighs about 600 MB — so its included external hard drive support will come in very handy. What can you expect to pay for a hint of the optical future? Oh, about $45,000 (€32,000).
