Awhile back we posted that Arcade Fire + Spike Jonze = Probably Really F*cking Amazing Flick, which was about a short film titled Scenes From the Suburbs. Well that short film, directed by Spike Jonze and based on the motifs of Arcade Fire’s Suburbs album (and co-written by Jonze and Arcade Fire’s Win and Will Butler), is now up on the net for viewing by anyone with a functioning email address… who doesn’t live in either America (the Land of the Free), or Canada (America’s Hat). So this is basically for all our European, Australian, South American, African, Asian, Antarctic and Polynesian readers. At least you can enjoy! The film is a companion piece to the Grammy-winning Suburbs album, and follows a band of disaffected youths in a dystopian near-future police state. Just go to Mubi, enter your info, and enjoy the 28-minute film… unless you’re in North America, of course, in which case you’re shit out of luck.
