Harley's V-Rod motorcycle gets dark and dirty

Ten years ago Harley-Davidson introduced their first V-Rod motorcycle, a high performance, drag-inspired line of beefed up 2-wheelers created to take on the big-engined Japanese competition. Sporting a 122 horsepower liquid-cooled powerplant engineered in collaboration with Porsche, the V-Rod made a strong stake in the market. Now for 2012 Harley unleashes their Night Rod Special — a limited edition version of their V-Rod sporting a blacked-out engine, wheels, forks, triple clamps and swingarm with contrast orange trimming. It also features an asphalt sticking ultra-fat 240mm rear tire, slammed stainless steel drag-style handlebar, LED tail-lamp and  brushed finished double-barrel exhaust features with black end caps. Get it all for $15,299.
