The latest exhibit opening today at the C.A.V.E. Gallery combines 3 of life’s finest pleasures: art, Venice Beach, and one of the greatest bands of all time, The Pixies. Dig For Fire: Art Inspired by The Pixies is just that — a collection of artists sharing their work inspired by the timeless Boston band. The group show is curated by Kevin Titzer and presented in association with Thinkspace and includes artists as diverse as Plasticgod, Ale Siniestro, Craig LaRotonda, Craww, Allison Sommers, JennyBird Alcantara, Annie Owens, Ben Kehoe and many more.”The Pixies have been acknowledged as one of the most influential bands in the genesis of alternative rock. Their visionary exploration of a diverse amalgam of musical styles evolved into their own dissonant sound,”explains C.A.V.E. “The much anticipated Dig For Fire exhibition is a celebration of this creative ethos.”
