Los Angeles producer + Gary, Indiana's finest emcee

It seems like every week another highly hyped collaboration is announced in the world of hip hop, most producing quality well below that of either artist. Unfortunately the sum is usually less than value of the parts. This upcoming collab, pairing Freddi Gibbs fast spitting tales of urban woe with the production genius of Madlib, could be the exception to the rule. The 6-track record is out now on Madlib’s Madlib Invazion label — the imprint the Los Angeles producer founded to release his 13 Madlib Medicine Show volumes. Although the EP is promising, the duo’s as-of-yet untitled full length album is planned for release in first quarter 2012. Till then buy the Thuggin‘ EP HERE for $6/MP3 or $12/vinyl.
