Poliça is the Minneapolis-based duo comprised of singer/songwriter Channy Leanagh and producer Ryan Olson, who had previously collaborated in the synth-pop supergroup GAYNGS (check out our Q&A with Channy here). Their debut album Give You The Ghost carries an R&B and electro-pop fused sound and was released this past February. They’ve already put out several official music videos, the newest one is for “Dark Star” featuring Channy in various dimly lit, smokey spaces and is filmed in slow motion — matching the song’s dark groove and allowing the focus to remain on Channy’s haunting voice. The band has also put out a Dark Star Remix EP, listen here, and will be touring extensively this fall.
