Despite a strict embargo, somebody leaked the images of the new Lamborghini Veneno due to debut tomorrow at the Geneva Salon. Now of course they’re everywhere, but damn worth posting. Based on the gamechanging Aventador, the incredibly exclusive (i.e. they’re only making three) Veneno is basically Lamborghini’s way of saying Fuck You to everyone in the automotive industry. Especially McLaren who is showing off their P1, and Ferrari who is premiering what was thought to be the biggest landmark of the show: the followup to the Enzo. While the Ferrari is still the Undisputed King of the Geneva Hill this week, Lambo did a nice job of stealing some of their thunder (though it will still be heard rolling far across the Swiss Alps). The celebration of its 50th Anniversary, Lambo’s Veneno rebuilds the Aventador with piles of carbon fiber and modifies its V12 to produce 740 horsepower and a 0-60 click of less than three seconds, on its way to a limited top speed of 220 mph. All that for just $4.6 million. Not too shabby.
PS: We’ll be Instagraming heavily from Geneva all day today and tomorrow — if you want to follow along with our coverage (and all our other various adventures), follow us here.
