Like the magazine itself, Vice’s photographs span from the inspired to the insipid, from the absurdly hilarious to the outright chilling. Plenty of puking, peeing, shitting, fighting, skating, drugging and, of course, boobies. But some of Vice’s more impactful moments are also represented: Romanian child prostitutes, girlschools in Afghanistan (not nearly as hot as it sounds), Iraqi civilian abominations. But it’s not just flash, gore and porn—the photographers that made Vice the international cultural stalwart that it is today are among the best lensmen around. And the large dimension of the 336 pages brings the images to life in a way the magazine never could.

  1. I have thought about this myself and you could not have explained it better!
